LN
A ride on the 3bis line to St. Fageau...
Meet Helene Gomez..she is woman who I rent my studio from. She gotta a kind west-coast thing happening thats really cool. She lives off the 3bis line which for me has kinda been like the avoided line on the metro because the bis on the end of the 3 just seemed kinda like forbidden territory. Anyway what a cool neighborhood...its a quiet family neighborhood almost like going to Bayridge in Brooklyn. Tea, cookies, gossip, and soleil... c'ette une bon apres midi.

Thinking, Thinking, Thoughts!
What a week...tomorrow marks the end of the first week that I have been in Paris. I absolutley adore it here. I found a awesome cafe not too far my apartment where I can come almost anytime of the day to use the wi-fi. The people here are so nice to me. Right now its almost midnight and I am on the edge of the curb having a cafe noisette...thinking....thinking...just thinking.
Ok so the apartment....
I love my new apartment. It is in the 2nd Arr. just above Rue Montorgueil. Oddly, I live in an area where there is alot of textile manufacturers so its like living in the garment district...right up my alley. Anyhow I just moved in a Friday so I am still getting settled in. Mornings have been great having du pain and saucisson sec avec jus d'orange as I stare out the window and think, think, think. I have a little radio that I keep in the kitchen as I listen to french rock'n roll and "feel good" nostalgic tunes as I have my petite dejeuner. A bit cliche I know, but so is this whole experience so why not?
My french is getting better by the day as my friend and sometimes professor, Charlotte is determined to make my french superb...God bless her man...where would I be without her? Anyway this week starts the real life in Paris. My school starts, my friend leaves, and true life begins. Maybe I am a bit nervous...I don't know...why else would I be up at midnight on a Sunday typing and thinking, thinking, thinking.
God I so much love this place!

Oh Paris, Je t'aime
Soooo...I have not blogged in quite some time. I think so many things were happening so fast that I needed to rely more on my heart for documentation as opposed to my camera. I am in Paris now and I feel as if a new life for me has begun. Not much to tell, just a girl who is search of something and nothing all at once. This week...
I said goodbye to NYC...

I packed my bags for Paris (bon bons, computer, & ipod stay close at all times,)

I met and old friend for lunch and shopping,

Watched two sisters dance,

and had a laugh under the Eiffel Tower...

Part Deux of my life has begun ♥

Tomorrow...I move into my apartment:)

Anne Koch...Set Designer
Meet Anne Koch (if you haven't already.) We met a few weeks ago at a crêpe party hosted by Alliance Française . Her credentials extend anywhere from Russian Vogue to Johnson & Johnson and her work is off beat, ironic, and brillantly humorous. She has a superb eye for details that extends well beyond her work. I love it when people take the time to express themselves and say so much without even speaking....clad to precision! Tres bien Madame Koch....see you 'round the school yard!

Oh! and she just did the Fall '09 Jen Kao show....

mon coeur

All of a sudden I am rushed with reality and my heart flutters...What the F!....is this really happening? My mind and my heart race to see which one is faster. My heart wins of course. This is the life that I signed up for...palpitations included.
An Honorable Mention Worth Mentioning...
in NY Magazine. Tres bien Anavaa Kisasa!
Not bad NiLeA P!
